Toolchain for Wearable Computing and Hardware Development (full time, E13 payment)
We are offering a PhD position focused on developing toolchains to accelerate research and development in Wearable Computing. We currently are developing two tool chains: for data collection and machine learning for wearable computing, and for Chat-based hardware design automation. Candidates should have a Master's degree in computer science or a related field with a strong background in ML frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow), and/or on hardware design. Overview
TECO at KIT is offering a full-time doctoral position focusing on research, development, and application of toolchains for Wearable Computing. Includes tools for data-driven research (EdgeML), machine learning, and wearable device design. Evaluation with realistic applications and data.
Profile
- Either strong background in machine learning and frameworks: PyTorch, Keras, TensorFlow, scikit-learn, pandas or hardware development or both
- Advanced programming skills and experience with toolchains and/or wearables and/or hardware design automation
- Master’s degree in CS or related program (EE etc.)
- Advantageous: advanced programming, prior start-up experience, hardware design, scientific publications
- Interest in ubiquitous/wearable computing and AI and hardware research
