Wearable Computing in Health Technologies( hardware, systems, AI) (full time, E13 payment)

TECO at KIT offers a full-time PhD or PostDoc position focusing on hardware and AI in healthcare. Includes health hardware/sensors, automated data conversion, AI-assisted data curation, data interpretability, and AI-assisted diagnostics. We especially looking into tiny AI, so AI suitable for very small embedded systems, and for system tools supporting this. Evaluation in collaboration with hospitals and physicians. Part of the Health Tech Center at KIT. s a PostDoc we expect that you lead and supervise our activities in the area of Wearable Computing, both in terms of development of our platforms as well as publications . If you apply for the PostDoc position you have to show an excellent publication record.

• Either strong background in machine learning and frameworks: PyTorch, Keras, TensorFlow, scikit-learn, pandas or embedded hardware projects

• Experience with Edge-ML and hardware/software dev-chains advantageous

• Programming skills required; enjoyment of programming recommended, system thinking mandatory

• Doctoral candidates: Master’s in CS or related field

• PostDoc candidates: Demonstrated academic career potential (high-profile publications)

• Advantageous: advanced programming, start-up experience, real running projects, excellent grades
